Are Toll-Free Numbers Free on Talk360?
No.
All calls made with Talk360 require call credits, including toll-free numbers (such as 1-800, 1-888, or 1-877).
Why Credits Are Required
Talk360 uses VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) to place calls.
With VoIP:
Traditional toll-free rules do not apply
Toll-free numbers are treated as regular international calls
Call costs depend on routing, not on the toll-free label
This is why credits are required even if the number is toll-free locally.
Why Some Toll-Free Calls Don’t Connect
A toll-free call may fail because:
The company blocks international calls
The company blocks VoIP calls
The toll-free number only accepts domestic traffic
Toll-free numbers may work at one time and fail later if the company changes carriers or blocks international or VoIP traffic. These restrictions are set by the company or their carrier, not by Talk360.
What You Can Try
If a toll-free call doesn’t connect:
Look for a regular international contact number on the company’s website
Try dialing the number using both + and 00 formats
Use a free test call, if available, to check connectivity
Important to Know
Talk360 cannot force toll-free numbers to accept VoIP calls
Availability depends on the company and the destination carrier
Failed toll-free calls do not deduct credit
