What Happens If I Use a VPN with Talk360?

This article explains how using a VPN can affect Talk360 calls and why VPN-related issues are not supported.

Updated this week

How VPNs Affect Talk360 Calls

Talk360 relies on a direct and stable internet connection to route calls properly.

When you use a VPN, your internet traffic is rerouted through external servers before reaching its destination. This extra routing can reduce call quality and reliability, especially for real-time services like calling.

Because of this, using a VPN may cause:

  • Calls to fail or not connect

  • Calls to disconnect suddenly

  • No audio or one-way audio

  • Delays, echo, or unstable sound

  • Error messages during call setup

These issues can appear even if your internet connection seems strong.

Important to Know

  • VPNs are not required to be used with Talk360

  • VPN-related call issues cannot be troubleshooted by Talk360

  • Talk360 cannot control how VPNs route, filter, or prioritize traffic

  • VPNs often make call connectivity worse, especially in countries with VoIP restrictions

📌 If a call works without a VPN but fails with a VPN enabled, the VPN is the cause.

Legal & Responsibility Notice

In some countries, the use of VPNs may be restricted or regulated by law.

  • Talk360 does not monitor, recommend, or enforce VPN usage

  • Any legal responsibility related to VPN use is entirely the user’s responsibility

What to Do If Calls Don’t Work

If you experience call issues:
1️⃣ Disable the VPN
2️⃣ Restart the Talk360 app
3️⃣ Try the call again using a direct connection

📌 For the best calling experience, always use Talk360 without a VPN.
