Which Countries Can I Call?

Find out which countries you can call with Talk360 and learn why some destinations or numbers may have restrictions.

Updated this week

With Talk360, you can call mobile and landline numbers in countries all over the world. In most cases, calls connect without any issues. However, international calling via VoIP can be affected by several external factors.

This means that while Talk360 supports global calling, availability may vary depending on where you are calling from, who you are calling, and local regulations.

Why Some Calls May Be Limited or Blocked

Government Policies & Regulations

Some countries apply strict rules to international and VoIP calls. These regulations are set by local authorities and mobile carriers and are outside of Talk360’s control.

This can result in:

  • Calls that don’t connect or disconnect automatically

  • Calls that connect only at certain times

  • A recorded or automated voice message instead of a normal ringing tone

In these cases, you might hear:

    • A pre-recorded voice announcement

    • A message similar to voicemail or an auto-attendant

    • A message that sounds like a spam or blocked-call warning

This usually means the call is being filtered or intercepted by the destination country’s network, not that the phone number is wrong.

    Country-specific examples:

    • Middle East: Some countries restrict or limit VoIP calls due to local telecom regulations.

    • China: Calls are generally possible, but government policies may sometimes affect call routing or quality. This does not mean all calls to China are blocked.

    • Iran: International incoming calls may be restricted or unavailable due to strict government control, especially during periods of instability.

    • Russia: Some calls may be blocked or answered by an automated voice message due to regulatory or carrier limitations.

Type of Number Being Called

Not all phone numbers are supported, even if the country itself is:

  • Premium or high-cost numbers may be blocked to prevent unexpectedly high charges.

  • Special service or access numbers are often restricted.

  • Business or short-code numbers may not be reachable via VoIP.

Pricing, Routing & Carrier Factors

Call availability can also depend on:

  • High termination costs set by local carriers

  • Temporary routing issues

  • Supplier or network availability

These measures help protect users from high costs and ensure fair pricing.

Your Location, Network & Roaming

Where and how you make the call also matters:

  • Your current country: Local rules in your country may affect outgoing VoIP calls.

  • Roaming: Using roaming services can change how calls are routed and may cause limitations.

  • Network quality: Poor Wi-Fi or mobile data can impact call success.

What This Means for You

  • Most countries can be called without problems

  • Some destinations may have partial, temporary, or number-specific restrictions

  • Availability can change without notice due to regulations or network updates

ℹ️ You can always check the per-minute rate in the app before calling, which is a good indicator of whether a destination is currently supported.
