Calling Internationally
What stays the same
Your account, credits and rates all stay the same when you travel. There's no roaming charge for using Talk360, all you need is WiFi or mobile data.
What to watch out for
Some countries restrict VoIP calling at a network or government level. If your calls were working fine at home but stop connecting abroad, your current location may be blocking VoIP. Try switching between WiFi and mobile data, and disable any VPN.
Mobile data costs
Talk360 itself doesn't cost extra when you are abroad, but your mobile provider might charge for international data roaming. Connect to WiFi when possible to avoid any unexpected data charger from your carrier.
The correct format
Every number should start with a + followed by the country code, then the local number. Do not include the leading 0 of the local number.
Example
Example
Netherlands: +31 6 12345678
South Africa: +27 71 234 5678
United States: +1 212 555 0100
+ or 00 — which should I use?
Always use + - it's the most recommended and reliable option. The + symbol automatically applies the correct international prefix for your location, so it works anywhere in the world. 00 is a manual alternative used in some countries, but not all networks accept it. If a call doesn't connect with +, try 00 as a fallback.
Never combine them: +0044... this is incorrect and will cause the call to fail.
Exit Code vs Country Code
These are different:
Exit code → depends on where you are calling from
Country code → depends on where you are calling to
They are never interchangeable.
Saving contacts
Always save contacts in an international format with the + and country code included. This avoids issues when calling from different countries or when your SIM changes.
Summary:
+ = universal and recommended
00 = manual alternative
Exit codes depend on where you are
Country codes depend on the destination
