Why do Local-to-Local Calls Fail in Some Countries?

Talk360 works for calling local and international numbers in most countries. However, in a small number of countries, local regulations prevent calls between two numbers in the same country.

Affected Countries

  • Australia

  • India

If your Talk360 account is registered with a number from one of these countries, you cannot use it to call another number in the same country.

What's Supported

International number -> local number

Yes

Local number -> International number

Yes

Local number -> Local number

Doesn't work. Blocked by law.

Why this happens?

Telecom regulators in these countries require that calls starting and ending within the same country are routed through licensed local telecom networks. Talk360 is not a licensed local operator in these countries, so same-country calls are automatically blocked by carriers. This rule applies to all VoIP providers.

If your call fails immediately

If you're calling a local number from the same country, there is nothing we can do

If you're calling from an international number and the call still fails, check that the number is in full international format (+91 India, +61 Australia) and try again.
