Sometimes, you might experience issues while making a call, but not all call problems are the same. Two common issues are dropped calls and bad-quality calls, and they happen for different reasons.
What is a Dropped Call?
A dropped call means your call suddenly disconnects without you pressing the end button. This can happen during a conversation or while trying to connect.
Common reasons for dropped calls:
Weak internet or mobile signal – If your Wi-Fi or mobile data is unstable, the call may drop.
Recipient’s network issues – The person you’re calling may be in an area with poor reception.
App or phone issues – If the app crashes or your phone restricts background activity, the call might disconnect.
What is a Bad Quality Call?
A bad-quality call means your call stays connected, but the audio is unclear or not working properly.
Here’s how a bad-quality call might sound:
Choppy or cutting-out voice – Words keep dropping, making it hard to understand.
Long delays – You hear a gap between when you speak and when the other person hears it.
Echo – You hear your own voice repeating. (Check our article: "Experiencing Echo During a Call?")
Robotic or distorted sound – The voice sounds unnatural or unclear.
One-way audio – You can hear the other person, but they can’t hear you (or vice versa).
Why Can’t I Hear the Other Person (or They Can’t Hear Me)?
If you're having trouble with sound, try these steps:
✅ Check your internet connection – A strong and stable connection is key to good call quality.
✅ Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data – See if one works better than the other.
Since we can’t immediately tell whether the issue is on your end, the recipient's end, or our system, it’s important to test your connection first. If the issue continues, our support team can investigate further.
