Why Did My Call Reach the Wrong Person?

If your call reached the wrong person, it is often a number format issue. In rare cases it may be a carrier-level routing error. Here is how to tell the difference and what to do.

Check the number format first

The most common cause is a missing or incorrect country code. Make sure the number starts with + followed by the country code, with no leading 0. Try dialling manually rather than from a saved contact. If this works, update the contact to international format.

Hearing an automated message?

An automated or recorded voice is not a wrong connection — it's a network or carrier response. It usually means the call was blocked, filtered, or the number is unavailable. This is different from reaching an actual person you didn't intend to call.

If you consistently reach the wrong person

1.Dial the number manually in a full international format

Enter +CountryCode followed by the number. Avoid using saved contacts while testing.

2.Update your saved contact

If manual dialling works, the contact was saved incorrectly. Update it to international format.

3. Try calling the number outside of Talk360

Try calling the same number from another mobile carrier, if possible.

If the same issue happens when calling from your regular mobile line, this confirms a carrier-side routing issue, not an app issue.

Still reaching the wrong person? Contact support with the number you dialled, what you heard, the date and time, and whether the issue also happens from your regular mobile. We'll investigate and adjust your credits if applicable.
