How Are Call Credits Charged and Deducted?

See how Talk360 calculates call costs, when credits are deducted, and which factors affect per-minute rates for different destinations.

Updated over a week ago

Talk360 call credits are charged per minute based only on the destination you call, and credits are deducted only when a call successfully connects.
Your location, network type, or roaming status does not affect the rate.

When This Applies

This article applies when you:

  • Make calls using paid Talk360 credits

  • Want to understand call pricing and credit deduction behavior

  • See credits deducted after a call connects (including voicemail)

How Call Costs Are Calculated

With Talk360, call costs are determined before the call starts and depend only on the destination number.

Call rates are based on:

  • The country you are calling

  • Whether the number is a mobile or a landline

  • The per-minute rate shown in the app when you manually dial the phone number or select a contact, before placing the call

Each destination and number type has a fixed per-minute rate, which is always shown in the app before you place the call.

📍 Important: Call rates are location-agnostic.
They do not change based on:

  • Where you are calling from

  • Whether you are abroad or roaming

  • Whether you use Wi-Fi or mobile data

How Calls Are Charged

  • Calls are charged per minute

  • Credit usage starts only after the call connects

  • The total charge depends on how long the call remains connected

When buying credits, the app may also show an estimated call duration based on:

  • The destination country

  • The credit amount selected

This estimate helps you understand how long you can call with that balance.

When Credits Are Deducted

Credits are deducted only when a call successfully connects.

This means:

  • If a call does not connect, no credits are deducted

  • Once a call connects, per-minute charging begins

  • The duration of the connected call determines how much credit is used

Why Credits May Be Deducted Even If the Call Didn’t Go as Expected

Credits can still be deducted if the call connects, even if the experience was not as expected.

Examples of valid connections include:

  • Voicemail answers
If the call reaches voicemail, it is treated as a successful connection.

  • Short or partial connections
A call that connects briefly may still be registered as connected.

  • Audio or connection issues after connection
Issues that occur after a call connects do not change how charging works.

📌 Boundary:
Telecom networks treat these cases as completed connections. Because Talk360 is charged for connected calls, credits are deducted accordingly.

What Does Not Affect the Call Cost

The following factors do not change how much credit is charged:

  • Your physical location

  • Whether you are abroad or roaming

  • Whether you are using Wi-Fi or mobile data

📌 Only the destination number determines the call price.

Important to Know

  • Talk360 uses pay-as-you-go pricing

  • No subscription is required to make calls

  • Call rates are always visible before calling

  • Credits are deducted only after a successful connection
