How Call Costs Are Calculated
Call costs are determined before the call starts and depend on:
The destination number
Your account currency
Call rates are based on:
The country you are calling
Whether the number is a mobile or a landline, or which provider you are calling
The per-minute rate shown in the app before calling
Each destination has a fixed per-minute rate visible in the app.
What Does Not Affect Call Cost
Call rates do not change based on:
Your physical location
Whether you are abroad or roaming
Whether you use Wi-Fi or mobile data
When Credits Are Deducted
Credits are deducted only when a call successfully connects.
This means:
If the call does not connect → no credits are used
Once a call connects, per-minute charging begins
The duration of the connected call determines the cost
Why Credits May Be Deducted Even If the Call Didn’t Go as Expected
Credits are still deducted if the call connects, even briefly.
Examples include:
Voicemail answers → treated as a successful connection
Short connections → even a brief connection is charged
Audio or connection issues after connection → charging already started
Telecom networks treat these as completed connections, so they are billed accordingly.
Important to Know
