Learn how Talk360 call charges work, why credits may be deducted, and how to check rates and balances before calling.

Updated yesterday

This article explains how Talk360 call costs work, why credits may be deducted, why you might see an “insufficient credits” message, and how to manage your credits so you can call with confidence.

How Call Costs Are Calculated

With Talk360, call rates depend on:

  • The country you’re calling

  • Whether the number is a mobile or a landline

Each destination and number type has its own price per minute.

How Calls Are Charged

  • Calls are charged per minute

  • Before buying credits, you can see an estimated call duration based on the country you select and the amount you want to top up

  • This helps you understand how long you can talk before your credits run out

How to check the estimate:

  1. Open the Talk360 app

  2. Choose a credit amount

  3. Select the country you want to call
You’ll see the estimated call duration before completing your purchase.

You can view all our calling rates under 'Calling Rates' in the app or on our website.

Why Were Credits Deducted Even If the Call Didn’t Go as Expected?

Credits can be deducted even if a call didn’t feel successful. This doesn’t always mean something went wrong.

Common reasons include:

  • The call connected successfully
Once a call connects, credits are deducted.

  • Voicemail answered
If the call reaches voicemail (even if no message is left), it’s considered a valid connection.

  • Connection or audio issues after connecting
Sometimes a call connects but audio is unclear, delayed, or drops due to network issues on either side.

  • Temporary technical issues
Rare issues can happen on our side or with local carriers. We can always review this for you.

Important: Talk360 is charged by the supplier and local carriers for every successfully connected call. Because of this, connected calls are billed even if the conversation didn’t continue as expected.

Why Do I See “Insufficient Credits” Even When I Have a Balance?

Seeing this message can be confusing, but it usually has a clear explanation:

1. The rate per minute is higher than your balance
If you have $1.00 in credits and the rate is $1.20 per minute, the call won’t start.

Tip: Always check the rate per minute in the app before calling.

2. Phone number format issue
An incorrect or extra country code can cause the call to fail.

Solution: Make sure the number is saved with the correct country code (for example, +1 for the USA or +44 for the UK).

3. Credits not fully updated yet
If you recently purchased credits:

  • Close and reopen the app to refresh your balance

  • Some payments may take up to 2 hours, and certain methods can take 2–3 working days

If the credits still don’t appear, our support team can help.

How to Check Calling Rates

You can always check rates before calling:

  • In the app, go to 'Calling Rates' to see prices per country

  • On the website, you can also view all current calling rates

Quick tip:
Go to Contacts, tap a contact’s name, and you’ll see the rate per minute shown under their phone number.

Understanding Credit Validity and Expiration

Standard credits

  • Valid for 18 months from your last call or credit purchase

  • Every new call or top-up extends the validity of all standard credits

Bonus or referral credits

  • Valid for 1 month from the date they’re issued

  • Any unused bonus credits expire after that period

Tip: Making a call or buying credits regularly helps keep your standard credits active.

How to Check Your Credit Balance

  1. Open the Talk360 app

  2. Go to Recent, Keypad, or Contacts

  3. Your balance appears at the top-right corner of the screen

Need Help With Your Credits?

If you believe credits were deducted incorrectly, see an unexpected error, or can’t find your balance:

  1. Open the Talk360 app

  2. Tap Support

  3. Share the details (call date, time, number, or proof of payment if relevant)

💙 Our team will review your case and clearly explain what happened, so you can keep calling without worry.
